Cinnamon-Sugar Breakfast Scone

This is a favorite breakfast in our family. One thing I like about making it is one batch of mix will make enough for 3 breakfasts.

Scone Mix makes a great gift.


Ingredients for Scone Mix:
1 5-pound bag White Flour
2 1/2 cups Dry Milk
3/4 cup Baking Powder
3 tablespoons Salt
1 tablespoon Cream of Tartar
1/2 cup Sugar
3 cups Canola Oil

Ingredients for Scone:
1 bag Scone Mix 
2 cups Milk
Cinnamon-Sugar 

Directions for Mix:
 In a large mixing bowl combine all the ingredients, adding the Canola Oil last. Mix it all together. Separate the mix into three equal batches. Pour each batch into an old bread bag. Tie up each bag, and put them in the freezer until ready for use.

Directions for Scone:
 Preheat the Oven to 350° In a large mixing bowl add the milk to the bag of Scone Mix. Stir well. Spray a large cookie sheet with cooking spray. Separate the batter into two large Scones on the cookie sheet. Top scones with cinnamon-sugar. Bake for 20 minutes. Serves 8 hungry people

Optional: To make this recipe into a dessert, add a bag of chocolate chips to the batter instead of the cinnamon-sugar
