| The Finished Christmas Tree. |
Ingredients:
3 loaves Texas Toast
1 package Sausage Links
3 or 4 Oranges
Green Sugar
1 Dozen Eggs
1 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Canola Oil
Syrup
Vanilla Extract
Directions:
Whisk together the eggs, milk, and oil. Add a drop or two of vanilla extract. Slice each piece of Texas Toast in half and dip in egg mixture. Do not soak the bread, just coat it. Cook on griddle until egg is completely cooked, flipping half-way through. Cook sausage links on griddle until completely cooked through. Slice Oranges into semi-circles. On a plate place two sausage links at the the bottom. This your tree trunk. Above the sausage stack three pieces of french toast, overlapping slightly. Sprinkle french toast with green sugar to make it look like pine leaves. Place a semi-circle orange slice above the tree. This is your sunrise. Serve with syrup.
